We compared eight Amazon Ads MCP servers on five things: where your data lives, how much history you keep, whether Seller Central sits next to Ads, whether changes need your approval, and cost at $20,000 a month of spend. OwnYourAMZ is our top pick for sellers and agencies already paying for Claude or ChatGPT: it is the only option that runs in your own account, keeps everything from the day you connect, and costs about $5 a month. The full Amazon Ads MCP shortlist for 2026 is below, with prices, limits and who each fits.

Disclosure: we make OwnYourAMZ. Every number for every option below comes from that vendor's own pages and is dated. Where a competitor wins a criterion, the table says so.

Key Takeaways

  • The official server is free and sees only your ad account. Amazon's MCP server has been in open beta since 2 February 2026. It needs your own Ads API approval, returns what the API returns (reports look back about 95 days), and stores nothing.
  • Only two options keep your data in your own cloud. OwnYourAMZ (your Cloudflare account, about $5 a month) and Kuudo (self-hosted in your AWS, GCP, Azure or Cloudflare, with a free Community tier). Every other option is vendor-hosted.
  • History is the hidden difference. Marketplace Ad Pros loads 90 days at connect. DataDoe backfills about 2 years. SellerMate keeps 30 days on its free plan. OwnYourAMZ backfills everything Amazon still has and keeps every day after.
  • Approval on writes is not standard. The official server can delete a campaign with no confirmation step. OwnYourAMZ, DataDoe, Agent Central, Marketplace Ad Pros and SellerMate all preview or confirm before a change lands.
  • Cost diverges as you grow. At $20,000 a month of spend, SellerMate's Unlimited plan is $300 (1.5% of spend), Helium 10 Diamond is $279 to $359, DataDoe is $97, and OwnYourAMZ is about $5 plus the Claude plan you already pay for.

What an Amazon Ads MCP Server Actually Is (and What It Is Not)

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets an assistant like Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini call tools. An Amazon Ads MCP server turns the Amazon Ads API into tools the assistant can call in plain language: pull last week's search term report, lower the bids on these 40 targets, create a Sponsored Products campaign for this ASIN. You connect the server once, and from then on you ask instead of clicking through Campaign Manager or exporting CSVs.

What it is not. It is not a PPC tool with its own bidding engine, so it does not replace Perpetua, Quartile or Adtomic on its own; it replaces the part where a person reads reports and decides. It is not a data warehouse by itself: most servers pass live API calls through and store nothing. And it is not Amazon's Seller Assistant, which is Amazon's own agent inside Seller Central and does not connect to your Claude.

There are three kinds, and the kind matters more than the brand. Amazon's own server is a passthrough to the Ads API: ads only, nothing stored, your own API credentials. Vendor-hosted connectors (Marketplace Ad Pros, DataDoe, Agent Central, SellerMate, Helium 10) pull your Ads and often your Seller Central data onto their servers and expose it to your assistant through an OAuth login; they are quick to set up and your data lives with them. Owned deployments (OwnYourAMZ, and Kuudo if you self-host) land the data in an account you control and let the assistant read it there. Amazon also shipped a Selling Partner plugin for Claude in September 2026 that covers Seller Central sales, inventory and listings for US stores, with no advertising data; it is a useful companion to an Ads MCP, not a replacement.

How We Ranked These Amazon Ads MCP Servers

Six criteria, all of them things a buyer can check on a vendor's pricing and docs pages. They are the columns of the comparison table further down.

  • Where your data lives. Your own account, the vendor's servers, or Amazon's. This decides who can see your costs, margins and client list, and what happens to your history if the vendor shuts down or you cancel.
  • History kept. How many days of data are available on day one, and whether every day after is retained. The Ads API only looks back about 95 days, so a connector that stores nothing cannot answer "what did we change last Prime Day, and did it work".
  • Seller Central next to Ads. Whether orders, inventory, fees and costs sit in the same connection. Without them there is no TACoS, no profit per ASIN and no inventory-aware bidding.
  • Approval on changes. Whether a write needs your yes, whether it is previewed with counts first, and whether it is logged with the value before and after so it can be undone.
  • Setup. Whether you need your own Amazon Ads API approval (an application and a wait), and roughly how long it takes to get to a first answer.
  • Cost at $20,000 a month of ad spend. The published price at that spend, including any percentage of spend, plus whether a Claude or ChatGPT plan is needed on top. All prices checked on 27 October 2026.

The Best Amazon Ads MCP Servers in 2026

Eight options made the list: one owned deployment, Amazon's own server, one open source server you host yourself, and five hosted connectors. Four more were considered and are covered at the end. Each entry ends with who it suits and who should look elsewhere, because the right answer depends on whether you want to own the data, how much history you need, and who is doing the setup.

1. OwnYourAMZ, best for sellers and agencies who want to own the data and already pay for Claude

OwnYourAMZ is not a hosted connector. It is a small system deployed into your own Cloudflare account that pulls every Amazon Ads and Seller Central report once a day, keeps every day from the day you connect, and exposes all of it to Claude or ChatGPT through one connection. Hosting costs about $5 a month, billed by Cloudflare to you. There is no subscription and no percentage of ad spend.

Setup takes about 14 minutes: paste one line into Claude, click Allow on the approved Amazon app, paste one link back. There is no Ads API application and no waiting for approval. The backfill starts pulling everything Amazon still has, which gives you roughly a year of ads history by the next morning, and from then on the history only grows. Ads, sales, inventory and costs sit side by side, across every brand.

Changes work the same way every time. Claude proposes a plan with counts (lower 214 bids, raise 12 budgets), you tap Approve, it applies the changes through Amazon Ads and logs each one with the value before and after, so any of them can be undone. Rules you set, such as never pausing a hero product, override whatever it works out. Scheduled checks run inside your own account; a morning check per account in Slack by 6am is the one most people set up first. Ask it the way you would ask a colleague, and get your setup done with us on a call.

It ships with the source, written so Claude can extend it: a new alert, report or dashboard is a sentence away. The team behind it runs 15+ Amazon accounts with $2M in ad spend on the same setup, and its PPC tool bill went from about $2,500 a month to $5.

Where it loses. You need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan on top, which the hosted connectors also assume but rarely say. One deployment covers up to 3 Amazon profiles. There is no self-serve checkout: you apply, and setup happens on a call (free for the next 3 accounts at the time of writing). And it is new, with no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet.

The review page for a change set Claude proposed: the reason in plain words, every change with the value before and after, and one Approve button. This one is a deliberate no-risk test on five paused keywords in an Indian account (bids in rupees). Nothing reaches Amazon until Approve is clicked.

Best suited for: A seller spending $10,000 or more a month, or an agency with several accounts, that wants history, Seller Central and Ads in one place in its own account. Teams that want a self-serve signup today, or more than 3 profiles in one deployment, should look at DataDoe or Agent Central.

2. Amazon Ads MCP Server (official), best for developers who want a free, first-party bridge to the Ads API

Amazon's own server went into open beta on 2 February 2026 and was still in beta on 16 October 2026. No fee has been published. It covers Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Sponsored TV, DSP and AMC; Kuudo's reading of the docs counts 32 campaign-management tools plus reporting and AMC queries. There are no Seller Central tools, so no orders, inventory or fees.

It stores nothing. Every call goes through to the Ads API and comes back, which means reports look back about 95 days and there is no memory of what was changed or why. It can create, update and delete campaigns and change budgets, and there is no built-in confirmation step; any guardrail has to come from the client you connect it to.

The catch is access. You need your own Amazon Ads API approval (an application through the Direct Advertiser or partner track) and a Login with Amazon app, and on public OAuth clients the access token expires after an hour, so the sign-in prompt comes back often. Amazon documents Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Kiro and Amazon Quick as clients, with separate endpoints for North America, Europe and the Far East.

Amazon's own docs for the MCP server: standard tools for deterministic actions and expert tools such as the AMC SQL generator, which was in closed beta. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A developer, or an agency that already holds Ads API credentials, who wants Amazon's own tools and will add storage and guardrails around them. Sellers without API approval should pick a connector that runs on an approved app.

3. Kuudo, best for engineers who will self-host and want every Amazon operation

Kuudo is open source (MIT, 74 GitHub stars) and made by Openbridge, a US data-pipeline company founded in 2014. It is the broadest server on the list: 1,139 Amazon API operations across Ads, the Selling Partner API (341 operations) and Vendor Central (42), in 22 marketplaces. It runs in your own AWS, GCP, Azure or Cloudflare account, with Kuudo's control plane orchestrating, and historical data lands in an Apache Iceberg data lake in your own storage.

Pricing is per API call rather than per month. The Community tier is free with 10,000 Amazon API calls a month and your own Amazon app. Pro is $0 a month plus $0.95 per 1,000 calls using Kuudo's verified apps, and Scale is $249 a month plus $0.55 per 1,000 calls. There is no percentage of ad spend. Access is by request; the product was in private beta when we checked.

Writes are supported everywhere (bids, budgets, campaigns, DSP line items) and pass a workspace policy that "may require human approval", with every call logged. The mechanism is not described in detail. The trade is clear: you get control and breadth, and you bring an engineer, Docker and a cloud account. One third-party walkthrough of the self-host path runs to nine phases.

Kuudo's open source server on GitHub: MIT licence, 74 stars, 343 commits, and a .env.example that expects your own Amazon credentials. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A team with an engineer who wants every Amazon operation and the data in their own cloud, and is comfortable with per-call pricing and a private beta. Not for a seller who wants to be asking questions in 15 minutes.

4. Marketplace Ad Pros, best for a cheap hosted connector with an optional managed service

Marketplace Ad Pros, built by Matt Ferrante (16 years in ad tech, formerly at Jungle Scout), has the lowest hosted entry price on the list. AI Connect is $10 a week or $39 a month for 5 brands with 20 ad accounts each and 500 AI queries a week. Above it sits an Optimization Suite at $149, $449 and $999 a month on annual billing, and a Fully Managed tier at $2,000 a month or 10% of ad spend, whichever is greater. The integration itself is free with no card.

Coverage is wide: Sponsored Products, Brands and Display, DSP, Seller Central orders, sales, traffic, inventory, listings and settlements, Brand Analytics, Marketing Stream, and AMC in closed beta, across 23 marketplaces. You can bring your own Keepa or Jungle Scout key. It runs on the vendor's approved Amazon app, so there is no API application.

Data is vendor-hosted and the region is not named. Ninety days of history load when you connect and nothing expires after that. Writes are off by default; an opt-in Edit Mode adds about 25 write tools (bids, budgets, keywords, targeting, status), the assistant confirms each change, and there is an audit log. The company says it manages over $30M in combined monthly ad spend.

Marketplace Ad Pros' plans page: AI Connect at $10 a week or $39 a month, 5 brands with 20 ad accounts each, 500 AI queries a week. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A seller who wants the cheapest hosted connector and may want a human-managed tier later. Sellers who need more than 90 days of history on day one, or who do not want a 10%-of-spend managed plan in the same product, should look elsewhere.

5. DataDoe, best for the deepest hosted data model, with 2 years of history

DataDoe is one plan: $97 a month, billed monthly, with a 14-day free trial. It includes unlimited Amazon connections, 10 million rows, 2 years of history and 2,000 AI tokens a month, with add-ons at $49 per extra 10 million rows, $29 per seat and $49 for buyer data. It is engineered by Deltologic, a Polish software company from Poznan founded in 2021, and has a 5.0 rating on Capterra from 2 reviews.

The data model is the deepest of the hosted options: more than 130 tables covering Sponsored ads, DSP (read-only), AMC in beta, Seller Central orders, returns, inventory, fees, settlements, listings, Search Query Performance and Brand Analytics, Vendor Central purchase orders and finance, and a COGS upload for profit. It is hosted on AWS and GCP in the US and also exposes the data over REST and BigQuery.

About two years are backfilled at connect and every day after is kept; audit logs last 12 months and everything is deleted within 30 days of cancelling. Writes are off by default and enabled per action type, with a dry-run mode, and Claude asks before writing. Setup is an OAuth sign-in with Amazon through DataDoe's app, and it works with Claude web, Desktop and Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini and Copilot.

DataDoe's MCP page leads with margins: ads next to orders, fees and product costs, actions off by default, 14-day trial. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A seller who wants profit after fees and a long history out of the box and is fine with vendor hosting. Agencies should check the 10-million-row and per-seat add-ons at their scale.

6. Agent Central, best for order-volume pricing with previewed writes

Agent Central prices by monthly Amazon orders rather than ad spend: Starter is $39 a month for up to 1,000 orders, Growth $69 to 5,000, Scale $99 to 10,000, Business $159 to 20,000, with annual plans at ten months' price. Each extra Ads profile is $19 a month. There is a 14-day trial with no card. It is made by Subsecond Data, LLC; founder and launch year are not published.

It reads Sponsored Products, Brands and Display plus DSP, and Seller Central sales, listings, inventory, shipments, finance, orders and multi-channel fulfilment, in 23 marketplaces. No Vendor Central and no AMC. Data is vendor-hosted (Google Cloud in the US, per Kuudo's comparison) and kept from the day you connect, with scheduled syncs.

Writes are the most carefully handled of the hosted options: every write is previewed, runs only on an explicit confirm, is logged with the value before and after, and there are hard limits that block extreme bids and budgets. Keys can be read-only or scoped to the changes a workflow needs. The site shows live counters: 103,612 bid changes and 44,873 campaigns created at the time we checked.

Agent Central's pricing docs: tiers by monthly Amazon orders, every marketplace under the seller account included, extra Ads profiles $19 a month. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A smaller seller priced by orders who wants both Ads and Seller Central with safe, previewed writes. Multi-profile agencies pay $19 per extra profile, which adds up faster than a flat plan.

7. SellerMate, best for a free MCP on an existing PPC platform

SellerMate is a PPC platform from Bengaluru (founded December 2023, CEO Akash Singh, formerly CTO at Observe.AI) that put its MCP on every plan, including the free one. Free covers one ads account with 30 days of data retention. Pro is $20 a month on annual billing with 90 days. Unlimited is $105 a month on annual billing or 1.5% of monthly ad spend, whichever is higher, with unlimited retention. Write actions need a paid plan. The company says it serves 2,000 brands and agencies and was a finalist in the 2026 Amazon Ads Partner Awards.

It covers Sponsored ads, DSP and Search Query Performance, Seller Central retail metrics, orders, inventory and returns, and Vendor Central revenue and net PPM. It is vendor-hosted and listed in Claude's connector directory, so setup is an OAuth sign-in with no API keys.

Writes (campaigns, budgets, bids, targets, negatives, dayparting) pass guardrails with minimum and maximum budgets and bids and caps on how much a value can change, with an optional admin approval queue, an audit trail that records the AI's reasoning, and one-click undo. The thing to watch is the price curve: at $20,000 a month of spend the Unlimited plan is $300 a month, and the Enterprise tier is priced on ad spend.

SellerMate's MCP page: free on every plan, listed in Claude's MCP directory, and an example of a negation and bid change applied with a policy check. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A seller already on SellerMate, or one who wants to try an Amazon Ads MCP for free before committing to anything. At $20,000 of monthly spend the Unlimited plan costs $300 a month.

8. Helium 10 MCP, best for Helium 10 Diamond subscribers who want their Helium 10 data in Claude

Helium 10 launched its MCP on 16 July 2026, Diamond plan only: $279 a month on yearly billing or $359 monthly, with 1,000 MCP calls included and an add-on from $50 a month for more. Platinum subscribers do not get it. Helium 10 is owned by Pacvue and rates 4.1 on G2 from 178 reviews for the suite as a whole.

This one is different in kind. It reads Helium 10's own stored data (keyword research, rank tracking, prior-day ads data, the Profits P&L and inventory) rather than calling Amazon's APIs directly, in 24 marketplaces. That is a strength if you already live in Helium 10, because years of its history become askable, and a limit if you do not, because the ads data is a day behind and shaped by Helium 10's model.

The ads tool can execute changes to bids, budgets and more "with approval"; the approval mechanism is not described. Setup is an OAuth login into your Helium 10 account, and it works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and custom agents. There is no per-query pricing beyond the included calls.

Helium 10's MCP page: its research, keyword and ad diagnostics data in the AI you already use. Diamond plan only. Captured 27 October 2026.

Best suited for: A seller already paying for Diamond who wants their Helium 10 research and profit data in Claude. Anyone else pays $279 or more a month for an MCP that other options on this list provide for $5 to $97.

Also considered

Nova (from $49 a month per account, 24 months of history, hosted in France) is a strong data server but read-only for ads; campaign actions were "in development" when we checked. AnythingMCP (EUR 19 to 49 a month, or self-host from EUR 12) covers ads only, is read-only, and needs your own Ads API application. Jungle Scout MCP is for Cobalt enterprise customers and serves market intelligence, not your own ad account. Amazon's Selling Partner plugin for Claude covers Seller Central for US stores with every action approved, but has no advertising data. PPC Prophet was listed by two competitor guides; its host had been offline since 7 October 2026 when we checked.

Amazon Ads MCP vs the Amazon Ads API: What Is the Difference

The Amazon Ads API is the raw interface developers write code against: endpoints for campaigns, reports and billing, with OAuth tokens and rate limits. An MCP server wraps that API so an assistant can call it in plain language, without anyone writing the code. Every option on this page sits on the same API. They differ in what they add on top: storage and history, Seller Central data next to the ads data, approval and logging around changes, and whether the whole thing runs in your account or theirs. If you are choosing between "use the API" and "use an MCP", you are really choosing between building the wrapper yourself and picking one from this list.

What Results Look Like with OwnYourAMZ

The agency that built it. OwnYourAMZ started as an internal setup for an agency running 15+ Amazon accounts with $2M in ad spend. The accounts moved off their PPC tools onto it, and the monthly tool bill went from about $2,500 to $5 of Cloudflare hosting, with the same Claude plans the team was already paying for doing the analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Amazon Ads MCP server for a seller who already uses Claude?

For a seller or agency that pays for Claude and wants to own the data, OwnYourAMZ: it runs in your own account, keeps everything from the day you connect, puts Seller Central next to Ads, and costs about $5 a month to run. If you want a hosted connector with a free trial, DataDoe ($97 a month, 2 years of history) and Agent Central ($39 to $159 a month) are the two to try first.

How much does an Amazon Ads MCP server cost?

From nothing to several hundred dollars a month. Amazon's official server has no published fee but needs your own API approval; SellerMate's MCP is free on its free plan; hosted connectors run $39 (Marketplace Ad Pros, Agent Central) to $97 (DataDoe) a month; Helium 10's needs the $279 to $359 Diamond plan; OwnYourAMZ is about $5 a month of hosting with no subscription. Every option also assumes a Claude or ChatGPT plan.

What is the difference between the Amazon Ads MCP server and the Amazon Ads API?

The API is the raw interface developers code against. An MCP server wraps it so an assistant like Claude can call it in plain language. All the servers on this page use the same API underneath and differ in what they store, what else they connect, and where they run.

Does Amazon have an official MCP server, and is it free?

Yes. The Amazon Ads MCP Server has been in open beta since 2 February 2026 with no published fee. It covers advertising only, stores nothing, and requires your own Amazon Ads API credentials. A separate Selling Partner plugin for Claude, launched in September 2026, covers Seller Central for US stores with no advertising data.

Can an Amazon Ads MCP change my bids and budgets without asking?

Some can. The official server can create, update and delete campaigns with no built-in confirmation step. OwnYourAMZ, DataDoe, Agent Central, Marketplace Ad Pros and SellerMate all keep writes off by default or preview and confirm each change, and most log the value before and after. Check the write policy before you connect any of them to a live account.

How much history does an Amazon Ads MCP give me?

It depends on whether the server stores data. Passthrough servers (Amazon's, AnythingMCP) return what the Ads API returns, about 95 days. Marketplace Ad Pros loads 90 days and keeps everything after. DataDoe backfills about 2 years. SellerMate keeps 30 to 90 days on its lower plans. OwnYourAMZ backfills everything Amazon still has and keeps every day from then on, in your own account.

Does an Amazon Ads MCP work with ChatGPT, or only Claude?

Most work with both. Amazon documents Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Kiro and Amazon Quick for its server. DataDoe, SellerMate, Marketplace Ad Pros, Agent Central and Kuudo all list ChatGPT alongside Claude, and several add Cursor and Gemini. OwnYourAMZ works with Claude and ChatGPT.

Is it safe to connect my Amazon account to an AI, and does it break Amazon's policy?

Connecting through Amazon's own OAuth, either your approved API app or a vendor's approved app, is the sanctioned route, and Amazon published its own MCP server for exactly this use. The real risks are a vendor holding your data and an assistant making changes without a check. Prefer options that keep data in your account or state their retention, start read-only, and keep writes behind an approval step.

Get Your Amazon Ads MCP Set Up in One Call

If you want the owned option, the setup is done with you rather than handed to you. On a call we deploy the system into your own Cloudflare account, connect every Amazon profile through the approved app, run the backfill while we talk, and write your first rules together: your ACoS targets, the products never to pause, the morning check you want in Slack. You leave with roughly a year of history already loading and Claude answering from it. Setup is free for the next 3 accounts. The application is about ten questions and takes two minutes, and a person reads it and replies within one business day. Get your setup and bring the account you most want to see it on.

Own your Amazon setup. Never rent a tool again.
